1. Portals Anthology
Write a story where the main character finds a hidden portal. Where does the portal lead? You decide! It could be to another world or perhaps another time. All genres of fiction are accepted, except for erotica.
(No previously published stories please. AI generated writing will not be accepted.)

Approximately 10 Stories will be accepted for each publication. (2000-5000 words)
2. Nature Anthology
Write a story involving nature, both Fiction and non-fiction will be accepted.

3. Recipe Journal
Share your favorite recipes with the world! Dainties, meals, desserts and more! Feel free to add some personality to make it fun. Include ingredients, measurements, how much it makes, and numbered instructions. Pictures are welcome, and will be included with the publication providing it is high definition and acceptable lighting and background.

For All Publications Listed, Writer’s Will Receive:
If Accepted:
- Authors receive publication credit on multiple publishing platforms.
- Short author bio will be included in the publication, of up to 100 words.
- A longer author bio will be published on the Sable BooKnight website (may include links to personal website or social media accounts). This bio can be up to 250 words and include a picture of the author.
- FREE copy of the print book will be mailed to you.
- Optional interview with the “Tania’s Writing Realm” podcast, with questions pertaining to the author’s writing process. (except recipe publication)
- For the top 3 stories, authors will be invited to a livestream interview on the “Tania’s Writing Realm” YouTube channel, with personalized questions. (except recipe publication)
Authors retain the rights to their stories, however Sable BooKnight asks that the stories are not published elsewhere until at least 2 years after the Portals Anthology is published. Future publications must state “previously published in Sable BooKnight’s anthology…”. Being accepted for publication will give Sable BooKnight rights to use the author’s name in advertising, and publication of the author’s story in the Portals Anthology. A short contract must be signed to grant these rights.
Submission Requirements
- Up to 5000 words, unless otherwise mentioned in each listing.
- Thorough self-edit prior to submission.
- Include author name with submission.
- Detailed notes with any questions for the beta reading.
- Will NOT accept submissions through Google Docs or other outside sources, only direct through email sablebooknight@outlook.com
- Will not accept erotica, but steamy romance is acceptable.
Formatting Requirements:
- Doc, docx, or odt format type.
- Times New Roman
- 12pt font
- 1.5 spacing (except for recipe submissions)
- Full justification
- No Headers or Footers
- Author bio in a separate document, up to 100 words.
- Include Author name below title.
Sable BooKnight reserves the right to reject any submission.
Publication Notes:
- Will be published wide in eBook format, and print book format through Amazon’s print on demand service.
- Publication will be advertised on the Sable BooKnight website, the “Tania’s Writing Realm” YouTube channel and Podcast, Facebook, as well as The Cozy Fox store located in Selkirk, MB.
